About Daily availability

When you list your car, we’ll automatically set your Daily availability to “I’m always available.” You can change your Daily availability at any time by setting the hours you’re available during each day of the week. You’ll only receive trip requests that start and end within the times you set. Whatever Daily availability you set, we’ll apply to all your vehicle listings.

How to set Daily availability

  1. Open the Host dropdown menu and choose Settings.
  2. You’ll land on the screen for Pickup and return hours.
  3. Turn off the setting for “I am always available” to display custom “From” and “To” entry fields for each day of the week.
  4. Enter the hours you’re available each day. You can also set yourself as “Always available” or “Never available” on any given day(s) of the week.
  5. Save your changes.

About Book instantly

We opt all new vehicle listings into “Book instantly,” a setting that automatically accepts a guest’s booking in your vehicle without your having to manually approve the trip. If you’d like to turn off this setting, see the instructions below. When you have “Book instantly” enabled, we apply that setting to all available dates on your calendar and for all trips booked for that listing. When a guest books your car, we don’t send you a trip request because the trip is automatically accepted. Instead, we notify you of the booked trip via email, text, and/or push notification and note it on your Dashboard. If your guest wants to shorten or extend their trip, we won’t process those requests automatically. You’ll have to respond to requests for trip modifications

If you use Book instantly, we strongly suggest you use the Chewfaster app and enable notifications on your mobile device. Go to your phone’s settings, choose “Notifications,” open the settings for Chewfaster, and turn notifications on. Push notifications help you stay up to date on your booked trips and avoid cancellations and no-shows. Canceling an instantly booked trip will have the same effect as canceling trips you manually accept. Cancellations and host no-shows could affect your host metrics and search rankings.

About snoozing or unlisting your vehicle

Snooze or unlist your car to make if unavailable for an extended or unknown length of time. Choose to snooze when your plans have a specific end time. Your vehicle will be automatically relisted once the snoozed period ends. Unlist when you’re uncertain of the date your vehicle will be available again. When you’re ready to make this listing active again, you’ll need to manually re-list it. Vehicles you snooze or unlist won’t appear in search results. No guests can request them during the time you set. However, you’ll still be responsible for any already-booked trips that fall within that time. You can edit or cancel the snooze at any time.

How to snooze or unlist your vehicle

  1. Open the Host dropdown menu and choose Vehicles.
  2. Select the vehicle listing you want to edit.
  3. Scroll down to the dropdown menu that shows your vehicle status as “Listed.”
  4. Open that dropdown menu and change the vehicle status to “Snooze” or “Unlisted.”
